Walk along the longest pier in Wales, and try your hand at crabbing. Or why not head over to other side of town to West Shore Beach, with its sandy bay and stunning views of Conwy, Snowdon, Anglesey & Puffin Island. Follow in the footsteps of Alice in Wonderland. Alice and her family holidayed in the town for many years and now you can take in the sights around the town and follow the Alice trail. There is even an Alice App to download.
Although retaining much of its Victorian charm, Llandudno has all the facilities of a modern town. With the introduction of retail parks, a selection of both well known names and independent stores are available, together with bars, restaurants and cafes, all of which can be reached within a 5 minute drive or by taking a gentle stroll, or jog along the prom.
A must for visitors is the Great Orme, reached either by walking, driving, or taking the Cable car or Tramway. Explore the Great Orme Mine and its 3500 year old tunnels. Once at the summit there is a visitors centre and café. Nature lovers will enjoy the spectacular scenery and where you’ll find goats wondering the wooded hillside.
Less than a 10 minute drive will take you to the walled town of Conwy and one of the most impressive castles to be seen in Wales. Conwy offers a whole host of places to eat and drink. Fine dining restaurants, traditional pubs and snug cafes can be found throughout the town.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo, a conservation zoo can be enjoyed by all ages, with wooded pathways leading to the Tarzan Trail Adventure Playground. Red Pandas, Snow leopards and Sumatran Tigers are just some of the endangered species to learn about and see, again only 10 minutes drive.
Experience the thrill of The Zip World Adventures, only 30 minutes away, where you’ll find Europe’s longest zip wire. Titan is the first 4 person zip line in Europe, as well as the all weather underground adventure of Bounce Below and Zip World Caverns. Not forgetting the mini adventurers try Zip World Treehoppers or Tree Top Safari.
Surf Snowdonia, set amongst the forest and mountains of Snowdonia is the worlds first inland surf lagoon, offering the opportunity for both beginners and those more experienced to enjoy the wave together.
Golf Courses
For lovers of Golf you will find that North Wales offers some of the finest Golf Courses around. Within a 10 minute journey from the apartment are Maesdu Golf Club, North Wales Golf Club, Conwy and Rhos On Sea. Links courses with sea views and the challenge of sea breezes (or strong winds).
If you fancy a theatre break why not visit Venue Cymru, our local theatre, which is within walking distance from the apartment, featuring regular performances by both classical and chart topping artists, West end musicals and the ever popular pantomime.
